Anti Bullying Week 2015
‘Make a Noise About Bullying’
We’ve had another successful Anti-Bullying Week at Cheynes Infant School – a big ‘thank you’ to all the staff, children and parents and carers who helped to make it a success.
All year groups were busy with their own lessons surrounding Anti-Bullying week, with a range of activities from making posters to drama, from creative to writing activities.
There was a particular noise from Year One, who worked with their music teacher Billy to perform a Ghanian song called A Keelie; a playground song that invites all the children to play together, making sure no one is left out!
Some of the staff were also happy to make a noise about bullying, by singing a song about friendship to the children during assembly! All children also joined in with a whole school performance of ‘Raise My Voice’, led by Mrs Rowe, to reinforce the message of Anti-Bullying Week.
We are pleased to announce that the winners of the Anti-Bullying competition are Jahrelle Hartley in Mauve Class and Robert Ruscan in Blue Class. Congratulations to those two children and thank you to all who entered.
Finally, we held another successful Anti-Bullying Workshop where children and their families took part in a range of activities, from badge making to hand printing! Thank you to all of the children and families that attended.
We are putting together a whole school Anti-Bullying display, showcasing some of the different work that has gone on, so keep an eye around school. A big ‘well done’ to everyone for helping to raise awareness of Anti-Bullying together in fun (and sometimes noisy) ways.
