Between 16th May and 16th June, it was National Smile Month. We spent some time learning the three key messages of how to keep a healthy mouth, which are:
Brush your teeth last thing at night and on at least one other occasion with a fluoride toothpaste.
Cut down on how often you have sugary foods and drinks.
Visit your dentist regularly, as often as they recommend.
During this time, each child was presented with a free toothbrush and an invitation to take part in our ‘Teeth Cleaning Challenge’, by brushing their teeth for two minutes, twice a day. We had a fantastic response, with over 130 pupil taking part in the challenge, which is more than half of you! So thank you to all the parents and carers that supported their children in taking part in our challenge.
It really is something to smile about!
