Working today for a better tomorrow

Look what flew in this week...

The children got a surprise when they arrived at school yesterday and discovered that they were joined by some feathered friends.

A barn owl, eagle, hawk and falcon came to visit from The English School of Falconry.  The children were able to see these wonderful birds up close and find out more about each one from the Falconer. Did you know that a falcon can fly at up to speeds of 204mph? Wow! The children eagerly watched each of the birds fly around the hall and over their heads, but the hawk was not as eager to meet the children, as you can see in the photograph!


It was a fantastic experience for the children and provided them with an opportunity to learn more about the birds which symbolise their House groups.
